WE DON'T WANT ANY MORE ASSURANCES --- WE WANT POSITIVE ACTION AND NEGOTIATED SETTLEMENT -- SEVEN MONTHS ARE OVER AFTER THE JUNE 30th ASSURANCES -- AGAIN SWEET WORDS AND ASSURANCES BY HON'BLE HOME MINISTER AND CABINET SECRETARY -- THIS TIME NO TIME FRAME --- PENSION COMMITTEE REPORT UNILATERALLY SUBMITTED TO CABINET WITHOUT REACHING ANY NEGOTITED SETTLEMENT WITH STAFFSIDE -- THE ONE AND THE ONLY POSITIVE RECOMMENDATION OPTION -1 FOR PENSIONERS IS GOING TO BE REJECTED -- FATE OF OTHER COMMITTEES MAY NOT BE DIFFERENT IF THERE IS NO NEGOTIATED SETTLEMENT -- ALLOWANCE COMMITTEE NOT YET CONCEDED THE DEMAND OF JCM STAFFSIDE SECRETARY FOR GIVING ANOTHER CHANCE FOR DISCUSSION -- NO NEGOTIATED SETTLEMENT ON ANY ISSUES -- GOVT MADE JCM FORUM ONLY A TALKING SHOP -- NEIROS ARE FIDDELING WHEN ROME IS BURNING -- CENTRAL GOVT. NJCA MEETING
NO CONSENSUS ON REVIVAL OF DEFERRED INDEFINITE STRIKE
Much awaited meeting of the National Joint Council of Action (NJCA) was held on 17th January 2017 at National Council (JCM) Staff-side office at New Delhi. Leaders of Railways, Defence, Postal and Confederation attended. Detailed discussions were held on the developments that took place after the deferment of the indefinite strike of 11th July 2016 and also on the totally negative attitude of the Government towards the 7th Pay Commission related issues of the Central Government Employees & Pensioners, including increase in Minimum Pay, Fitment formula, Allowances, Pensioner’s Option-I etc.
Unfortunately, there was no consensus regarding revival of the deferred indefinite strike. Hence no decision could be taken. Meeting ended with a decision to meet again after some days. In the meantime NJCA Chairman and Convener may try to meet the Cabinet Ministers who have given the assurances on 30th June 2016 to NJCA leaders.
As there is no immediate possibility for revival of the indefinite strike by NJCA, Confederation National Secretariat has decided to intensify the mobilization campaign and preparation for making the 16th March 2017 one day strike a grand success. All Affiliated Organizations and C-O-Cs are once again requested to make all –out efforts to ensure cent percent participation of employees in the strike. In addition to the campaign programme of National Secretariat members, each affiliated organization and C-O-Cs should chalk out their own separate campaign programme. Please give wide publicity through local print / electronic media and social media like whatsapp, facebook etc.
No doubt, our strike will have a great impact in settling the demands and also in exposing the powers-that-be who betrayed the cause of 33 lakhs Central Govt Employees and 34 lakhs Pensioners.
Somebody should come forward to protest and also, if necessary, to suffer and Confederation is ready for it.
Let Confederation lead and others follow.

STRIKE DATE CHANGED TO 16th MARCH 2017 - NOTICE SERVES TODAY BY NFPE & AIPEU GDS
ONE DAY STRIKE ON 16th MARCH 2017
The Election Commission of India yesterday (4th Jan 2017) announced Assembly polls for 5 States in the Country.
It is notified that there are election poll (phase-2) for large number of Assembly Constituencies in the States.
Thus the date decided for one day strike by Confederation of CGEW on 15th February 2017 has been changed inevitably.
Hence the strike date further fixed on 16th March 2017 and Notice may be served today itself as per our schedule.
NFPE is serving strike notice to the Secretary, Department of Posts today.

OBSERVE 4th DEATH ANNIVERSARY ON COM. O.P.GUPTA ( EX SECRETARY GENERAL NFPTE AND FOUNDER GENERAL SECRETARY AI RMS & MMS EU MGs & Gr ‘D’) ON 6TH JANUARY 2017.
The late lamented Com
.O.P.Gupta, the tallest leader P & T Trade Union movement is an inspiration
and guiding sprit for lakhs of P & T and Central Government Employees. A
valiant fighter to the cause the working class, his life was a great epic of
incessant struggles and incarceration. He had enriched our movement beyond all
parameters of comprehension with dogged determination and unfaltering faith in
the cause of the working class. He led the P & T movement in the most
teasing times of its history.
If was
happens to turn back the pages of history of P & T Trade union movement,
the name of Com. O.P.G. will stand out in letters.
His entire life was devoted to the cause of the working class and will be
remembered forever.
To remember the
life and work of Com .O.P.Gupta, the All India RMS & MMS EU Mailguards
& MTS ( NFPE R4) call upon All Branch /Divisional /Circle Unions to
organize General Body Meetings on the Day of his 4th Death Anniversary , the 06-01-2017. We
take the solemn pledge to carry forward the task left unfinished by him
unitedly and determination upholding the sprit of working class unity.
